New Gym, New Beginnings
We’re changing at JRD, for the better. Our quest to be the most supportive community that helps people achieve amazing things has led us to a much improved gym. A gym that is filled to the rafters with a friendly and motivating atmosphere. A gym where your happiness and results come first.
For years the world has been taken over by big, greedy, boring, intimidating gyms and generic, burpee me to death bootcamps that couldn’t give a monkeys about the people who walk through their doors. That doesn’t sit well with me at all. In fact I’m more comfortable with the fact that spiders are starting to carry knives and guns.
It’s about time someone stood up against the big gyms and bootcamps that exploit their members and milk them for every penny possible without ever even learning their name.
At JRD we are on a mission to redefine what a gym is. Our new gym allows us to show more people than ever that a gym should be a supportive place that is friendly and motivating. It allows us to show people just how amazing they are by helping them do things that they never thought possible. I’m not talking about lasting ten minutes on a treadmill here, no sir-ee. I’m talking about pulling cars, squatting bears and lifting trees, or when the bears are busy eating porridge, their equivalent weight.
This is all whilst achieving weight, body and fitness goals. Remember, we put our members results and happiness before absolutely everything.
With the new gym comes a new beginning, and a brand spanking new blog. You can expect updates on our crusade against crap gyms, more support that you can shake a stick at with recipes and workouts, the JRD Warriors doing the absolutely amazing, and updates from within the four walls of JRD Fitness.
It must be said that none of this – JRD, the new gym, the community, our personal training in Middlesbrough, would be possible without the JRD Warriors.
